Speed Skating Canada: Golden day for Tremblay at short track speed skating World Cup
Francois-Louis Tremblay, on his 500m gold in Torino: ‘’I had a great day, everything went well,’’ said Tremblay. ‘’I was able to do everything I wanted at the strategical and technical level. It was a tough field for the final and I had to really manage my race properly and deal with the changing ice condition. I really handled all that well today.’’
Kalyna Roberge, on a frustrating 3rd-place finish in the women's 500m event behind China's Meng Wang and Tianyu Fu: ‘’I was charged and cross track right from the start,’’ said Roberge. ‘’I was pushed behind and I had to play catch up in the end. I was mad because I was prevented from having a proper race right from the start. I had a strategy in my head and I wound up not learning anything from this race.’’
Ouch.
