APOLO OHNO
The Olympic speed skater-turned-Dancing with the Stars champ isn't going to meet his lady at the usual meat markets. "I'm not really one to hit on a girl in a club or a bar. But if I'm at Whole Foods and this group of girls walks by, that's a different situation. I still would never walk up and say, 'Hey, what's up? Buying bananas?' because she's going to be like, 'Loser, get away from me!' But I think it's more of a comfortable place."

Kim Dong-sung coaching short track in Maryland
How cool is this? I love it when something interesting shows up in my news alerts. Doesn't happen too often in the off-season:

South Korean speed skater Dong Sung Kim, a gold medalist at the 1998 Olympics, helps 11-year-old Jonathan Heo with his technique during a practice Friday at the Wheaton Ice Arena. Kim is the new coach for the Wheaton Speed Skating Club.
Gaithersburg Business Gazette | An edge on the speed skating competition
Dong Sung Kim has won gold and silver medals in the Olympics and is one of the most well-known speed skaters in South Korea and the world. But he said one of his biggest challenges would be shaping about 20 skaters with the Wheaton Speed Skating Club into champions.Kim, 27, said United States speed skaters seem to lack balance and form, which are crucial in competitions, and he hopes he can change that. ‘‘That’s the main goal to see that they achieve that,” Kim said last week through a translator.
His students are eager to learn from him, noting Kim’s dedication to the sport and the fact that his students not only improve but also win competitions. ‘I like him,” said Thomas Kim, who is not related to the coach. ‘‘He’ll create a better practice and a better chance at winning a competition. If you can enjoy this pain, you can enjoy anything.”
The Wheaton, MD club is one of the clubs where Jimmy Jang used to coach before he moved on to the USOEC program in Marquette. And by the way, word is that Jimmy is no longer coaching in the U.S. program. Jimmy, we will miss you!
