Apolo Catches Up With OZ
Last week I had the opportunity to catch up with Apolo in a telephone interview. Our chat took place after his first frantic week back in the U.S., during which Apolo put in long days at the Olympic Media Summit while also training and trying to recover from jet lag in addition to the bug he contracted in Asia.
It was great to hear Apolo's perspective on World Cups 1 and 2 and his upcoming Olympic experience, as well as get a taste of the sponsorship and media exposure that await in the weeks and months ahead.
Many thanks to Apolo for taking time out during this hectic period to share his recent experiences with us! Read the interview here.

USOC Profiles J.R. Celski
There's a great profile by the USOC of 15-year old phenom and Federal Way native J.R. Celski, who's set his sights on the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver. Check out the profile here.

'Last Man Standing'
2002 Olympic gold medalist Steven Bradbury -- Australia's first ever Winter Olympic gold medalist -- has written his autobiography, which comes out tomorrow in Australia. The title Last Man Standing is indelibly associated with him -- it's a theme he even riffed on in his Ohno Zone interview from 2003.
Here's some Australian press about Bradbury's book -- the top link includes a quote from Jiajun Li:

Nothing really new here, but a nice little blurb about Apolo on the web site of KIRO 7, a Seattle-area tv station:
