Ciao - it is me, Italian...up here in Bormio heaven!!!! We are all having a GREAT time here and Fabio is a wonderful host. Everyone should drink Grappa with Fabio!!!!!! The semifinal for the 1500 was amazing for Fabio - unfortunately he tired out for the final and had to let Apolo win [!!!!! just a joke!!!!].
We look forward to more amazing races and MORE GRAPPA!!! Ciao for now...here's Liz....
Hi from beautiful downtown Bormio!! We're having a Great time and wish you were all here. Noelle says I can't talk as much as I usually do, so that's all for now!! (not true - Liz uncharacteristiclly had writers block! - ed.)
I know you all must be aware by now of Apolos tremendous performance today in Bomio. He was absolutely incredible through all rounds of the 1500. The semifinal and final were heart-stopping, brilliant races. The semifinal was especially exciting for Fabio, who had an incredible pass on the outside from the back of the pack to win, while the final was pure Apolo brilliance on skates. Never have I seen anything like it (although I know he has done it many times before). Watching him win that race was unforgettable. Those of you who are Salt Lake City-bound have a lot to look forward to!! Apolo and Yuki both appreciate very much the support of all the Ohno Zone fans. That is what I brought with me to Bormio!

I received an email from Meg Sherman of Chinook Bookshop (where Apolo did the signing on Nov. 16 in Colorado Springs.) Here's the info. she wanted to pass on:
"We had a great signing with Apolo on Nov. 16th at Chinook Bookshop. He was busy for nearly 2 full hours. He is indeed a really nice guy! Most everyone wanted to have their picture taken with him. He was really patient and kind to everybody.
Anyway, I know you provided his fans with info about our signing and I thought they might want to know that we still have signed copies of his books. I was told by his publicist that we are his last signing until after the holidays.
Anyone wanting his books can contact us at www.chinookbook.com or call us at 1-800-999-1195."
Apolo just won silver in the men's 1000m and gold in the men's 3000m today at the World Cup in St. Petersburg. Best of all, he is ranked #1 overall with 89 points for this World Cup. WAY TO GO, APOLO!
