Hi everyone! So, everybody knows we have the smartest AAO fans here at the O-Z...so will someone find out if there is any truth to the rumor that AAO injured his ankle?
Ugh! I've had a few publishing glitches...which deleted a few newly added links. So, if you submitted me another AAO fansite link, please resend it. Also, a couple of the past few pics got posted without credit...part of the tech. glitch.
Hey, Todd. I heard from Yuki (his dad, of course) that Apolo MAY be throwing the first pictch at the Mariner's game on April 1. I have tickets to that game! Yey. I hope he will show!!!
We need an official logo & logo art so we can put it on t-shirts, mugs, mousepads, etc. Is anyone willing to design a logo/art for Ohno Zone that we can put on merchandise? Please let me know via comments or email me. Thanks!
Jackie strikes again with a link to a radio interview:
There's a 6 minute radio interview that Apolo did on Friday, the 15th @ jackieandbender.com. After the splash page, there is a section titled, "Sounds," where the interview is located. Keep in mind for the lightning questions (I think that's what it's titled). There's one very interesting question one of the djs asks...lol.
Can anyone give us O-Zoners the scoop on the short track championships on TV on Saturday, April 13 @ 5pm. Which network (or cable station) will air the games? Are these the team championships from Milwaukee? And was that 5 pm EST or PST? Any info is appreciated! - Todd
Hey ohnomaniacs! I actually went to see Apolo AT QVC!!!!!! I was able to watch him from a glass window 40feet away! And during a break him and the host waved to us!!! Let me tell you he looks 100times better in person!!!!!! Unfortuatly they didn't allow photography of any kind (trust me i begged and begged), for i wanted to take a picture to you guys! Oh well maybe next time!

Just can't get enough of Olympic speedskater Apolo Anton Ohno?
For a copy of the poster of Ohno that ran in The Seattle Times on Feb. 26, call 206-464-2001 or email backissues@seattletimes.com. And for those of you who have asked how to contact Ohno, here are the addresses:

Here is the actual email account of Noelle's celebrity encounter:
Hi Todd, Did you catch his appearance on QVC!? Not a channel I normally watch, but he's on for an hour helping sell Olympic apparel as well as autographed pix. So I actually decided to order one, and because I am a first-time customer, they put me on the air when the item I ordered came up! So I got to say hi to Apolo and even ask him a question. On the air! And talk about the item I bought. I can't quite remember what I said but I knew I didn't want to gush over him or repeat everything everyone else says to him. I explained how I've been a lifelong Olympic fan and really enjoyed watching him and the team skate in Salt Lake, and how happy I was to have some Olympic memorabilia of my own. Then I asked if I could ask Apolo a question. So I mentioned the upcoming world championships and asked if he and the U.S. team would be there and he said they were going to Milwaukee on 3/26 and the actual competition he thought would be on 3/28... nothing about Montreal though. (Oh well.) Then the host asked me something or said something about where I would display my poster, and I told him good luck for the upcoming competitions, and that was that! I may have left something out; I need to review the tape! Yay! Noelle
Congrats to Noelle who actually spoke to Apolo on QVC today! Geez, Noelle, I know you were all polite, respectful and sweet and all...but could you have at least gotten a plug in there for Ohno Zone?!?!? (hee hee) How fun! I'm really excited for you!! Thanks for sharing your story!
